Introducing Friends of SWIFT

The new year promises to be one of opportunities to celebrate our valued connections with like-minded organizations in the pursuit of All Means All!

The Urban Collaborative recently invited SWIFT member Michael McSheehan to give the keynote at their annual meeting. The Urban Collaborative works with 113 school districts who are leading inclusive and equitable schools in 30 states, representing 14% of students in the nation. McSheehan’s speech sought to grow members’ vision and leadership skills to improve outcomes and life opportunities for students with disabilities and other diverse learners in urban schools.

The CEEDAR  Center (Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability, and Reform) offers opportunities, resources, and tools to help states and institutes of higher education reform their teacher and educational leader preparation programs to meet the needs of all students.  Their next webinar, “Preparing Principals to Meet the Needs of Each Student,” will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017. You can register HERE.
