The Words " Thank You " are so Sweet...

Congratulations to Joanne Waters from St. Paul's, Lock Haven, on winning the Ministry Fair contest $100.00 gift card. Upon receipt, Joanne decided to create an Out of the Box Ministry and use the money to purchase ingredients to make baked goods. She then delivered the baked goods as "thank you" gifts to late shift responders, nursing care workers and those caring for our loved ones.

Do you have an Out of the Box Ministry you would like to share with us? Please e-mail Alexis Guszick, Canon for Diocesan Communications, aguszick@diocesecpa.org

Preparing to walk The Way of Love

This year we are focusing, as a diocese, on The Way of Love. As part of this journey, we are making our way through the diocese on a Pilgrimage. As we look forward to our Appalachian Camino Pilgrimage next summer, we’re beginning to prepare our hearts and minds. We invite you, whether or not you can walk the pilgrimage, to journey with us through a book study. We are using Brian McLaren’s book We Make the Road by Walking: A Year-Long Quest for Spiritual Formation, Reorientation, and Activation to prepare our hearts for pilgrimage and as guide for our prayers and reflection. We will begin to read and reflect beginning in advent of this year.

Diamond Anniversary
St. Thomas celebrated its 60th anniversary on Sat. Oct. 20th. A story wall was created that visually represented the history and ministry of their parish.
The wall included historical dates, quotes and pictures from their founding days, to their groundbreaking move from the chicken hatchery, up to the present time.
The pictures were carefully chosen and represent the heart of St. Thomas, Lancaster.

Ways to Pray
Spiritual Practices for Parish Life
This 5-week online course invites participants to explore in community, one’s faith journey, noticing where we’ve been, where we are now, and where God is inviting us into, so we can grow in and bear witness to God’s Way of Love. Drawing from the deep roots of our Christian tradition, this course explores how the #WayOfLove spiritual practices of Turn, Learn and Pray shape our lives to follow Jesus.
Ways to Share Our Story
and Follow Jesus
This online module helps one explore how, with God’s help, we recognize and live into our belovedness as children of God, how to engage in daily prayer practices that provide ways to articulate our own story
of experiencing God’s love for us and
for the sake of the Jesus Movement to learn ways to share the story.

Winter Retreat

Launching a rule of life with young people is a commitment to live life in a particular way––created with prayer and discernment. It is an intentional pattern of spiritual disciplines, such as prayer and reading the Bible,
