U.S.News Best High SchoolsTen Stark County High Schools Make U.S. News Best List

The release on Tuesday, May 7, 2012 of the 4th edition of the U.S. News Best High School List contained an unprecedented number of Stark County High Schools. Ten of the county's 18 high schools were ranked[1] among the best in the nation. Previously, only three schools have made the list.

In developing the rankings, U.S. News and the American Institutes for Research looked at data from 22,000 high schools. Key to this year's rankings was not only performance on state tests, but the degree to which schools help prepare students for college.

High schools making it through the initial analysis were eligible to receive gold, silver, or bronze medals.
