Gosh, it has been somethig of an intense time lately, so first things first (isn't that a delightful expression?!) : take deep breath in all the way down to your toes, and now breathe out with a long sigh......there, that should feel a little better, especially if , like me, you have had a particularly challenging 4-6 weeks. It has in fact been one hell of a year & is certainly more memorable than 2012 which feels like a cake walk in comparison to 2013. It has been a year of contrasts, deeper awakenings, insights and challenges galore.
I have had days when I could have happily pulled the duvet over my head and stayed there until next spring. These were days when I could barely string two sentences together, when I simply wanted to hermit and it took every last ounce of effort to answer emails. In between there have been amazing and inspired adventures (internal and external) and facilitation of some fabulous workshops and treatments. There have been potential doors of opportunity that opened and then closed with a resounding thud. Seemingly huge obstacles to surmount. Tests of faith and inner strength. Meetings of like souls and relationships formed with good, kind and amazing people irrespective of their belief. And there have been egoists, naive and unquestioning people with very little discernment and few critical thinking skills that have tested patience to the limit.
Patience, tolerance, acceptance, compassion and LOVE have been stretched, tested and pulled to the fore through all of this. Over the years one of my greatest lessons has been not to react with emotional knee-jerk responses to frustrating situations and to allow myself to 'sit' with what is being presented, then respond from a diamond perspective. In addition to the 'That's interesting' moments, it is a good philosophy we can all adopt.
The intensity has been greatly magnified by last week's lunar eclipse, accompanied by a few unexpected CME's and followed swiftly by mercury in retrograde. In connecting in, I would also say that the energy sensitives will feel as if they are taking a hammering as Comet Ison moves deeper into our solar system, also adding to the effects.
I have written a
blog article on Comet Ison you can read
here. If you have been feeling recently as if you want to slam dunk the walls or throw a few dishes around (far better to take it out on a dish than your nearest and dearest!), Ison is currently on its fly by Mars - the planet traditionally associated with power, anger etc. The atmosphere of Mars has brightened somewhat, indicating that it has been 'charged up' in some way - a higher elctrical charge = greater intensity.
So, you're not nuts. It is challenging and intense right now. Breathe deeply into your being and focus on grounding.
Backs against the WallWe are increasingly being faced with socio-political situations that are eroding human rights, privatisations, freedom of thought, speech etc. As a collective human race, we are steadily being pushed to a point with our backs firmly up against the wall. The difficulties facing humanity are huge, make no mistake, and it can seem overwhelming to many. Fascist and authoritarian ruling structures are being rolled out whether you want to acknowledge it or not. No matter how much we may wish to turn away from the tragedies taking place, WE are the collective, We are humanity. We cannot accept the principle of Unity consciousness without accepting that
everything that takes place on the world stage is an aspect of ourselves.
The more eductaed and aware we are, the greater the picture we see and the less fearful we become in dealing with whatever is presented.
We don't need to carry the burdens of the world on our shoulders or take responsibility for the entire planet, however self and spiritual empowerment requires us to take responsibility for what we can, in our own environments - internal and external. Throughout history, stories abound of the triumph of the human spirit in times of great need and adversity.
This is our time to make a difference. It is our time to face into whatever fears we still hold. It is our time to be the heros of our own journeys, to release all fear, be educated and re-engage with our communities in ways that inspire and uplift. Envisioning new realities is a great contribution, however it needs to be supoprted by action.
Allow yourself to be moved by your own creative spark and take a look around at what you can do to support your own local community. The changes we desire will be driven by grass-roots level movements, and there are so many inspiring initiatives being taken by small groups of people everywhere. There are so many issues that need to be addressed, including greater health, education, alleviating poverty, domestic or child abuse, the homeless, re-igniting hope and dignity in others....the list is endless. We don't need to necessarily be fixing things in Africa when there are so many local issues requiring our attention.
Here in the Uk for instance, there are hundreds of thousands of children going to school hungry. There are increasing numbers of homeless people and families facing starvation, even as we see the corporate machine going into full swing inviting people to spend, spend for christmas. I invite you all to make a difference in your own environments, within the sphere of what is possible.
Look for what you can do, get a group of friends together and simply take the first steps. You never know where it will lead and whose lives you may impact in a really positive and powerful way. Don't give up when faced with rules or obstacles - look for creative ways around them.
Here at Diamond Light World we have a meeting tomorrow with a few local 'diamond souls' and we are setting up a Community Enterprise business (not for profit). The first name we have already come up with is The Diamond Foundation. Our primary goal with winter approaching is on the provision of basic neccessities to those in our local communities who need them. It is a start and something we are all passionate about, so I will keep you posted.
I should perhaps note that none of us engaging with this project have any disposable income to invest in it at all. We have all faced very difficult and challenging times personally, hence our natural empathy with those who have so little. We are having to be very creative in fimding the resources we need in order to do what we want to do. In an environment where fewer people are donating less and less, this poses its own challenges, but I do know that we have what is needed on order to do what is necessary.
If you feel drawn, and are able, any donations received during Oct/Nov will go straight into The Diamond Foundation, and I will provide updates on how and what we have been doing in the next newsletter, as well as a special web page to be established for this.
I would also love to do a feature on all of the uplifting initiatives you either begin or are currently engaged in, so please do send in your stories and photos to divineactivism@diamondlightworld.com. Let's show the world what we are really all about!! Please also check out the 11:11 event below - this is going to be a biggie, so please share with your friends!
Wishing you all a wonderful month of true and divine inspiration.
