Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) supports the community's most challenged citizens. They work with individuals in, or at risk of being in, the adult or juvenile justice systems; individuals transitioning out of these systems back to their communities; and people with developmental disabilities requiring intensive support to be part of the community.

Their unique mix of innovative services, advocacy for system improvement, research and publications build the capacity of people they care for to live safe, productive lives. As a result, communities enjoy increased safety and improved quality of life.

Here's how it works:
$10 of every Home Inspection performed this month will be donated to this amazing organization.

Home Inspection vs. "Engineered Home Inspection"

by Nancy Nichols, P.E., HI, LEED AP, Team Engineering

You have found a home that you really like. All is a "go," except you have not had a home inspection. You search the web. You find a Home Inspector who is licensed in New Hampshire. His credentials look good.

On the day of the inspection, the Home Inspector arrives early and has his equipment ready when you arrive. In one quick tour around the house the inspector finds some trim rot. Then, he takes you into the basement and upstairs. He finds cracks in the foundation wall that he refers to as "stress cracks", and "vapor staining" in the attic. "Nothing to worry about," he says. The inspection is over in about 2 hours. Everyone is relieved.

You have purchased your home and have been living in the home for the winter. Now you are stressed. The "stress cracks" in the foundation walls are getting bigger...

46th Annual NH State Home Show:
And the Winner Is...
By Maureen Heaney, Team Engineering

Thank you to everyone who came out to make the 46th Annual New Hampshire State Home Show such a success! Held at the Radisson Hotel on March 1st through March 3rd, the Home Show helped us to think spring. Team Engineering, in booth 1307, had the opportunity to meet friends - new and long acquainted - and discuss business in a relaxed yet bustling atmosphere.

Hundreds of you entered our raffle for a chance to win an iPad Mini. The winner is Karen A., who declared that this was the first time she ever won anything! Congratulations, Karen! Thanks to everyone who played. We had a great time, too and look forward to being in attendance next year!
