Spiritual Life
Being Thankful
My first days at UPIKE were filled with great anxiety wondering, "How would I support students' spirituality when this was so different than my previous ministry context?" It did not take long until the cooperation, common mission and compassion of the team and students "on the hill" overwhelmed me. Today, I am overwhelmingly thankful to God for the spirit of support at UPIKE. Let me share with you a few blessings that I have experienced in the past month.

Hello Bears!
Welcome to UPIKENEWS, the official newsletter of the University of Pikeville Alumni Association.
What a glorious fall it has been! The Inauguration of Dr. James L. Hurley was a wonderful event for the First Family and for the University, several faculty received awards, our alumni continue to shine, and our UPIKE teams celebrate their accomplishments.
As valued alumni, we want to hear about you and include your stories in upcoming issues of the newsletter. Please send us your stories and pictures and help us celebrate our UPIKE alumni. Are you still using your Supercritical CO2 Extractor that you purchased several years ago? If not, then please view the Want Ads section of the website and consider donating this equipment. If you have been away from campus for too long, check out the Upcoming Events section for upcoming events and the schedule of AlumNites coming to a city near you.
On behalf of the Alumni Association and the University of Pikeville community, Go Bears!

She said, "I can honestly say I would not be here if it weren't for my walk with Christ." Crowe is thankful that when she slips up, God is always there to help her regain her footing.
