SEEK Classes

9:30 Platform Classes: 

Nursery - Time for care and fun with our regular childcare providers.

Preschool and Kindergarten - Heather Barlow and Katherine Kirsch - We Take Care of Earth- We Take Care of Insects through the story of:  Butterfly House by Eve Bunting

1st-3rd and 3rd-5th - Theme explorations classes - Embodiment- Tony Nam and Ian Barlow. This class will start to explore the theme of the month with guest Tom Bishop with learning how to express ourselves through Rap music and Hip Hop Dance. Story will be: When the Beat Was Born: DJ Kool Herc and the Creation of Hip Hop. Hip Hop music and dance will be played too (Age appropriate).

Middle School - Neighboring Faiths - Sonja Kueppers - Continuation of Buddhism.

11:00 Class:

7th-9th Grade OWL (Sexuality class) - Suicide/Depression - Michelle Kaufman and John Daken

1st-3rd and 3rd-5th - Theme explorations classes - Embodiment- Nilam Patel and Melissa Sinclair, Kate Lang and JT Halbert. This class will start to explore the theme of the month with guest Tom Bishop with learning how to express ourselves through Rap music and Hip Hop dance. Story will be:  When the Beat Was Born: DJ Kool Herc and the Creation of Hip Hop.  Classes will be divided doing hip hop dance one half of the class, rap lyrics the other half of the class. 

Teens - Waffle BAR - remember to meet at 9am to start cooking!!!
OWL - Our Whole Lives Sexuality

Would you like to be a trained facilitating teacher for Elementary OWL (K-1st and 4th-6th) or Middle/High School OWL? (7th-9th and 10th-12th)
These are the training opportunities for summer. To offer OWL to our children and youth, we must  have trained facilitators. We are especially in need of facilitators who identify other than cisgender female.

We are slated to teach 4th-6th grade OWL next fall during 9:30 Platform.

We typically have loaners 

Not into sleeping outdoors, stay in a nearby hotel at night and then join in the fun during the day!

This summer's theme for children will be themed around Learning about and Loving our Earth - featuring Ms. Frizzle for our lower grades  - we will have a lot of hands on activities all July a nd August, all grad e levels.
