Four Outstanding New Releases
from Napa Valley Winemaker
Kirk Venge
Some people follow sports, bands, or politics but not us. We follow winemakers. And one of our favorites, Kirk Venge, has us falling head over heels for his new label, Maruader.

He gravitated to winemaking at an early age and quickly proved to be as talented a winemaker as his father, Nils Venge, who made the  first American wine to garner 100 points.

Kirk Venge (ven-ghee) has crafted some of our best-selling wines throughout the years (Beau Vigne, Renteria, Macauley, Scout's Honor and, of course, his own label, Venge).

In 2008, Kirk achieved his lifelong dream and acquired full ownership of Venge Vineyards. Today, Kirk continues the Napa Valley heritage, focusing on select vineyard sites that produce fruit worthy of bearing the Venge family name. These limited production new releases are excellent values. Mix and match a case for yourself.
Marauder "Dark Arts" Kick Ranch Sonoma County Petite Sirah/Syrah 2014
(Normally $50/Club $45)
Fans of Scouts Honor, inky Petite Sirahs, Herman Storey or the Renteria "1st Cut" will LOVE  this wine! Dark electric purple in color, this superstar is lush and intricate. Each sip reveals more and more complexity --flavor galore on the mid-palate, framed by well-integrated notes of toasty vanilla and silky tannins. The finish is long with hints of black spice, turned earth and mocha. Drink now through 2021.
Marauder "Cinder" Frediani Vineyard Napa Valley Charbono 2014
(Normally $50/Club $45)
We couldn't wait to pull the cork on the new wine Kirk calls "Cinder!" Admittedly, Charbono is one of our favorite grapes -- it's beautifully purple with enticing aromas of blackberry, leather and pepper. (Hello Petite Sirah lovers!) This is no shy wine, flavorful and full-bodied, but so drinkable. Speaking from personal experience, it is the perfect accompaniment to chocolate covered ANYTHING!
Two More Wines By Kirk Venge You Don't Want to Miss Out On:
Venge "Silencieux" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
(Normally $62/Club $55)
The Venge family has farmed Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the Napa Valley for well over a century...let's just say they know what they are doing! Harvested from mountain, benchland and valley floor locations, the Silencieux (Silent One) is a rich, intense and full-bodied wine--approachable upon release yet still worthy of aging. Pair this wine with changing leaves, cooling temperatures, roasting meats and baking apple pies.
Renteria Los Carneros Chardonnay 2014
(Normally $48/Club $42)
Are buttery, creamy, oaky Chardonnays your thing? If so, look no further than this great value! Kirk outdid himself with the Renteria Chardonnay. Sourced from vineyards in the cooler-climate Carneros region, the Renteria Chardonnay pulls out all of the stops. Our locals are gaga over it and we know you will be too! Pair this unctuous superstar with creamy brie melted over apples slices and topped chopped nuts.
