Aoifinn Devitt
Chief Investment Officer, Policemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago

Aoifinn Devitt is the Chief Investment Officer for the Policemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago. She has worked with institutional clients for her entire investment career, which has spanned the US, Europe and Asia. From 2002 to 2006 she worked as a specialist consultant at Cambridge Associates Limited (London and Boston), where she specialized in the hedge fund area and worked with a range of institutional investors on their alternative allocations. In 2006 she established Clontarf Capital, a research and consulting firm with a particular focus on assisting public pension funds. She focused on providing education, research, due diligence, portfolio construction, monitoring and rehabilitation advice and worked extensively with staff, investment committees and third parties to enable them to achieve their investment goals. She also developed a particular specialty in Asia-focused alternatives, developing and leading a product focused on that area, as well as in the tactical asset allocation and opportunistic credit areas.

Previously Aoifinn worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in London and as a corporate attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton (New York and Hong Kong).

Aoifinn graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a first class degree in law and received a BCL (Oxon) and an MBA (INSEAD, Dean’s list).

Lofton Holder
Founding Partner, Pine Street Alternative Asset Management

Lofton Holder is a Founding Partner and the Managing Partner for Pine Street. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Holder was Managing Director and Head of the US and European Marketing and Client Service Team for Investcorp’s $5 billion Hedge Fund Group. In this capacity, he was responsible for growing the revenue of a start-up group to a run rate of nearly $60 million at the time of his departure in 2010. Previous to Investcorp, he was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Asset Management. In this role from 1998 through 2005, he served the investment needs of major institutional investors across the U.S., including corporate, public, and Taft-Hartley pension plan sponsors. Mr. Holder worked across multiple asset classes including Hedge Fund, Private Equity and Real Estate investments as well as more traditional equity and fixed income investments. Before 1998, Mr. Holder spent six years with JPMorgan Securities, Inc. as an investment banker and five years with The First Boston Corporation (currently Credit Suisse) in a similar role. Mr. Holder currently serves as a Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Edwin Gould Foundation for Children, a major supporter of the SEO Program.

Mr. Holder holds an MBA from Yale University and a BA from Columbia University.

Craig McCrohon
Trustee and Investment Committee Chairman, Illinois SURS

Craig McCrohon specializes in corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions law at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella. He advises companies and investment funds regarding mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, director and officer liability, corporate finance, and financial institution regulatory and acquisition matters. His work has included bank organization and acquisitions; venture capital; securities offerings; and domestic, European, and Asian joint ventures.

Mr. McCrohon is a graduate of Harvard University and received his joint law degree and M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business. He was a graduate student in law and economics at the London School of Economics. He worked with the legal staff of the United States Senate Committee on Banking and served as president of the Board of Directors of the Technology Executives Roundtable of the Evanston/Northwestern University Research Park. Mr. McCrohon was also named by the Chicago Lawyer as one of the "40 Under 40 Outstanding Illinois Attorneys" and is listed as one of the "Leading Lawyers in Illinois" for corporate and technology transactions, a listing that recognizes the top five percent of attorneys as selected by their peers. He serves as Trustee and Investment Committee chairman for the $18 billion Illinois University Retirement System.

Scott Schweighauser
Managing Partner, Borealis Strategic Capital Partners, LLC

Scott Schweighauser is the Managing Partner of Borealis Strategic Capital Partners, LLC, which provides seed capital to top-tier, early-stage investment talent in return for direct economic participation in their growth and success. Prior to creating Borealis in 2016, Scott was the President, Partner, and Portfolio Manager at Aurora Investment Management, which he joined in 1994. Before joining Aurora, Scott was the Vice President for derivatives and interest rate product trading with ABN AMRO Bank (1993-1994), a Vice President and Managing Director with Continental Bank’s Risk Management Trading Group (1986-1993) and an Associate in Corporate Finance at Bankers Trust Co. (1983-1986). Scott received his BA in Mathematics from Williams College (1983) and his MBA from the University of Chicago (1989). Scott sits on the Board of Directors of NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation, and is a trustee of the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Morgan Webber
Partner, Adams Street Partners

Morgan is responsible for all aspects of the primary investment process, including fund selection, due diligence, negotiations, monitoring, and General Partner relationship management.

Prior to joining Adams Street Partners, Morgan was an Associate for Blackrock Private Equity Partners. Morgan participated in investment research, analyses, due diligence and deal execution on both co-investment and primary fund investment opportunities. Prior to Blackrock, Morgan was with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in their Institutional Sales and Marketing Group.

Morgan holds an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA from University of Wisconsin.

Kirk T. Rostron
Managing Partner, Mt. Vernon Capital, LLC

Kirk T. Rostron is a Managing Partner of Mt. Vernon Capital, LLC, a merchant bank focused on direct investing and advisory services. Prior to forming Mt. Vernon Capital, Kirk was a Partner with the Mercury Capital Distribution team, a global placement agent which merged with his former firm, the Mt. Vernon Group, an alternative investment placement agent. Prior to that, Mr. Rostron served as a Director in Merrill Lynch’s Hedge Fund Development and Management Group focusing on worldwide private placement of alternatives. He was also Director and Head of U.S. Capital Introduction in Merrill Lynch’s Global Equity Finance and Services Group, which he started. He previously served as COO and Executive Vice President for Hovde Capital Advisors. Earlier, he founded and later sold Hedgecall.com, a service of Investor Broadcast Network that was seeded by Intel Capital Group, Safeguard Scientific, and Paine Webber. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and Economics from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in International Economic Integration from the University of Birmingham (U.K.). He is also the founder of the No Greater Sacrifice Foundation, (‘NGS”) whose nationwide mission is dedicated to advancing the higher education of the children of America’s fallen and wounded service members. He also served as a Trustee on the Board of the Florida State University Foundation and the Board of Governors for the Florida State University School of Business.
