The 2011 National Council Session and 52nd
Convention is coming! The big event happens
November 10-13 in Houston TX.
Registration for "Official Visitors" (that's you) is
expected to open mid-summer. Registration will be
available through the GSUSA site at
Convention Visitors will register directly
with GSUSA and must book their own accommodations;
registration and accommodations will not be
coordinated by Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles.

WHO WILL RIDE ON THE GSGLA FLOAT?
The GSGLA float is going to be a grand experience
for everyone. A select group of Girl Scouts will
even get the chance to ride on the float or walk
with the float! The good news is that everyone can
be a part of the float by riding on it -- virtually!
FLOAT RIDE: There
is an independent committee that will be selecting
the riders and outwalkers for the GSGLA float.
Girl Scouts who Early Bird Registered for the
2011-2012 membership year will be eligible for a
chance at this opportunity.
For outwalkers, only Girl Scout Gold and Silver
Awardees will be selected

GIRL SCOUTS ROCK THE MALL EVENT - JUNE 9, 2012
Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s
Capital is hosting
the “biggest Sing-Along in its
Girl Scout history," the Girl Scouts Rock the
Saturday, June 9th, 2012 at the
National Mall in Washington DC. At the National
Council Session in Houston, that council will
present the steps to the “Ignite” Flash Mob so that
participants can come and perform it with the larger
group on June 9th, 2012.
Nation's Capital is
expecting 200,000 Girl Scouts, family, friends and
alumnae in Washington, DC to celebrate this historic
milestone with songs.
