Eligibility dates run June 1, 2011-May 31, 2012. The entry deadline is Tuesday, June 5, 2012. The entry process is 100% online for both entry form and video submissions. URGENT CALL FOR JUDGES!    

The initial judging deadline for entries from the Southeast EMMY Chapter has passed. Some judges who made commitments to score entries did not do so. Your help is urgently needed. 

There are no DVDs to pass around: No ballots to fax. It's a 100% online experience. Judging is conducted individually. There are no 'panels' to convene. Each entry should be viewed to at least 50% of the total running time. Judges need not be NATAS members but they must be peers in the entry area. Contact Misti Torres McCarty for log-in credentials. Help is needed ASAP!

SILVER and GOLD CIRCLE NOMINATIONS

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) honors the lifetime achievements

of distinguished television professionals with induction into the Silver and Gold Circles.  

Each year the Lone Star Chapter of NATAS, through the Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation, inducts deserving Texas television professionals into this prestigious honor society. Silver Circle inductees have devoted at least 25 years to the industry while making a significant contribution to their communities. The standard for the Gold Circle is at least 50 years of service. LONE STAR STUDENT TV AWARDS 
The Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation is proud to offer the Lone Star Student Television Awards. These awards are open to all Texas high school students. Work produced from August 1, 2011-March 31, 2012 is eligible for consideration. Click here for categories and details. All videos must be uploaded to SchoolTube. The entry deadline is April 30, 2012. In addition, the Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation is offering two $250 classroom grants to assist Texas high school broadcast and media teachers. To apply for a grant simply create a 60 second video explaining how your classroom would use the money to help ensure the next generation of television excellence. COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS  

The Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation is accepting scholarship applications. The Harold Taft scholarship is open to college students pursuing a degree in meteorology and atmospheric science. In addition, we have scholarships for college students pursing a career in the television industry. Get more information. The application deadline is June 18, 2012.
