Palm Beach Dramaworks
To Begin Accepting Submissions for
The Dramaworkshop November 1, 2014

October 16, 2014 - Palm Beach Dramaworks is pleased to announce that The Dramaworkshop, a play development program launched this fall, will be accepting submissions of new plays for a period of two months, from November 1 through December 31, 2014. Playwrights interested in presenting their work for consideration are encouraged to read the guidelines, which are posted on Palm Beach Dramaworks' website, palmbeachdramaworks.org/dramaworkshopA link for transmitting plays will appear on the website during the submission period; work submitted in hard copy, via email, or outside the submission period will not be considered. Florida playwrights may submit without an agent; all others must submit with agent representation. 

 

Selected plays may receive any or all of the following:

  • A staged reading by the Dramaworkshop's company of resident artists
  • A one- to three-week development process with resident artists and directors
  • A developmental production in the Perlberg Studio Theatre (Palm Beach Dramaworks' second stage)
  • A main stage production at Palm Beach Dramaworks
