Our Mighty Writers Academies provide intensive afterschool writing support to children who live or go to school in the neighborhoods surrounding our studios. Students study and produce informative, persuasive, narrative and poetry writing during the course of one regular school year.
Volunteer writers are available to help with homework from 3 to 4:30pm. Homework help is followed by directed group writing instruction for all students from 4:30 to 6pm. Students must attend the program Monday through Thursday every week to remain in good standing.
There are ZIP code restrictions for this program, and it runs during the school year only. All Mighty Writers programs are FREE, but applications and family interviews are required.

Mighty Writers Academy West (NEW!)
Start Date: September 16, 2013
Ages: Participants must be in grades 5-8. Now accepting applications for grades 5-8. Additional elementary grades will be added in subsequent years.

Restrictions: Participants must live or go to school in one of the following ZIP codes: 19104, 19131, 19139 or 19143.
