President Garcia, Esteemed Members Of The Board:
As many of you know, my name is Patricia Smith and I am the Founder and Executive Director of CATCH Prep, or Crenshaw Arts/Tech Charter High, a charter school serving the Crenshaw District of South-Central Los Angeles.
On behalf of our students, our families, our teachers, our staff, and the entire community of Leimert Park… Thank you for your continued support of CATCH these past 15 years. Today’s renewal petition will mark our ability to continue to serve the students of the Crenshaw district for 5 more years --- bringing our cumulative service to 20 years, something I could only have dreamed of when founding the school in 2003.
In a time when our country is divided, and conversations about race and opportunity are at the forefront, rest assured that CATCH will continue to be committed to sending students of color to top-tier universities, and opening up access to the real American Dream for ALL.
