July's featured Calgary White Hat Award winners

Calgary has a strong history of hosting. Hosting is in our DNA. We're
known around the world for our hospitality, and it’s a badge we wear with pride.
We love to host, and it shows.

With Calgary's frontline ambassadors at the helm, we will continue to work towards
making Calgary the Ultimate Host City.

We'd like to acknowledge Joyce Li and Sally Leung, Calgary White Hat Award winners, for creating memorable visitor experiences. Here are their stories:
Joyce Li, Calgary Stampede
Lead by Example

Great service is most visible on the front lines, but those who work behind the scenes can also be service champions. Joyce is proof that accountants are essential to the fabric of a business – especially one that puts on the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. Every day, Joyce demonstrates that easing financial frustrations can let others shine. From process improvements to sharing her mad database skills, Joyce is known by her colleagues as a doer with an unmatched work ethic. We’ve crunched the numbers, Joyce, and your White Hat level of service is definitely in the “plus” column.

Sally Leung, Calgary Stampede
Exceptional Service: Heart of House

A proud member of the Calgary Stampede team, Sally happily wears her cowboy boots, hat and custom belt buckle when attending events at home and internationally. She knows what it’s like to be a newcomer to Calgary and works to make the experience a positive one for visitors. Sally spearheaded a project to make a map for visitors available in six different languages to help explain the amazing Stampede experience. She shared it with local tourism partners, travel agencies and international trade shows. Sally has been in Calgary for close to 20 years and is a passionate ambassador for all the city has to offer. Congratulations, Sally, on your White Hat win!
