The World Affairs Councils of America's National Office is delighted to offer a special opportunity to our 1918 Society members. You are invited to attend the World Affairs Council of Northern California's annual spring conference - WorldAffairs 2014 - and enjoy a terrific line-up of speakers including Thomas Friedman, Marc Grossman, Mari�me Jamme, Ray Suarez, and many others. All at specially reduced rate!
Just prior to the conference (agenda here), WACA is organizing a 1918 Society members-only brunch event (speaker and location to be determined).

WAC Northern California charges $490 for non-members and $395 for members to attend the WorldAffairs 2014 Conference.
As a benefit to you, the WACA National Office has negotiated a discounted price of $300 per 1918 Society member. The entire program includes the additional benefit of a 1918 Society members-only brunch speaker program organized by the WACA National Office on Friday, March 14, as well as the WorldAffairs 2014 Conference (Friday program and evening reception; Saturday program, including breakfast, lunch, and light reception).
NOTE: 1918 Society members are of course welcome to spend the rest of the weekend in San Francisco, and are invited to participate in the WACA Leadership Day for Council CEOs on Monday, March 17 (agenda forthcoming). The $50 charge for Leadership Day will be waived for 1918 Society members.

1918 Society members are welcome to enjoy this specially reduced rate and complimentary room upgrade. The deal also includes two $12 vouchers for Starbucks per room/per day.
The World Affairs Councils of America room block covers up to four nights, March 13-17.
Availability is limited, and we encourage early bookings (see instructions below). To receive the special room rate, make your reservations by the Friday, February 21 deadline. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will result in a one-night room charge.

NOTE: 1918 Society members may book up to 4 nights, March 13-17, at Hilton's preferred rate. We recommend that you arrive and check in as early as Thursday, March 13, in order to participate in the members-only brunch on Friday morning, March 14, preceding the Conference. The Conference concludes Saturday, March 15, at 6:00 pm.
There are no activities planned for Sunday, March 16.
On Monday, March 17, WACA will host the Spring Leadership Day of best-practice workshops (8:30 am ~ 3:00 pm). WAC Northern California is kindly providing venue space at no charge. 1918 Society members are welcome to attend free of charge.
