Many people loved my short essay on "group exhibitions" and asked me to publish it again, so if you missed it last week, here it is again
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
"ABOUT GROUP EXHIBITIONS!"
Now m
any people when they see a "GROUP EXHIBITION(S) being advertised , assume it's a last minute filler or just an afterthought -
"that is not the case with any of our group exhibitions, past, present
& future" here @ Galerie Hertz. Most of the group exhibitions have been a minimum of a year in the planning; from the logistical standpoint of who is available & when; to what styles and
genre work together; to the introduction of new artist (giving them
their turn in the spotlight, so to speak) also working with artist who have a limited body of work (as in # of pieces due to varies factors)
so please, whether it's our gallery or any gallery in town or out of town for that matter, do yourself a favor and check out a "Group Exhibition" because you'll never know what you might might have missed.
Our's is just such an exhibition, it has taken over a year of planning & coordinating to be able to get the fabulous small intimate paintings of MARSHA STAGIER here (Stagier is a painters painter) & the same holds true for the "conte on canvas" drawings of JUSTIN ANKENBAUER , the play between these two artist alone is worth the trip! We also worked around EMILY CHURCH'S birthing
schedule, is just another example of how galleries work. Our upcoming "Group Photo Exhibition" for the 2015 Louisville Photo Biennial has been in the planning for over 18 months now.
We are so fortunate to have the luxury of space, that it seemed a "no brainer" to do "group exhibitions" in 2015: to give you, our viewing audience a wider perspective on what is taking place here in our region and as well on the national scene too!
So treat yourself and check out this fine "group exhibition", you have approx. 2 weeks left to do so.
