A Presidential Welcome to Beth Triantafyllou
President, NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter

On December 8, 2016, Beth Triantafyllou was inducted into the NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter as the new President. This special appointment came after the resignation of former Chapter president, Jeff MacDowell. We are grateful to Jeff for his work and say "thank you" for all his time and contribution to the Chapter--two years as VP of Programs and one year as President.

Beth has over 30 years of experience in the interior design and kitchen and bath industry. She has been serving the NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter since January 2015 as VP of Programs.

"Having served as a board member for two years, I'm honored to represent the chapter as President. As I look ahead in 2017, I'm excited about the opportunities and plans taking shape for our chapter, and am ready to resume the work of providing tools and resources for our members to succeed in today's market."

Kimberly Morrison, CKD/CBD, NCIDQ
My career started working for an architectural firm right out of college - I was the gopher." That experienced exposed me to many facets of the design industry. It led me to my next job as design coordinator for a small interior design firm in Lancaster, PA. I was there 15 years before making a life change and leaving the Susquehanna Valley for Tucson, AZ. That is where I began teaching interior design in a post-secondary environment. Life has twists and turns and it brought me back home to Pennsylvania. I was introduced to Ai by a family friend and have been there since 2004. I started as adjunct and at the same time began working for a local kitchen designer. During that time, I attended graduate school and obtained my K&B certifications. Since 2012, I have been the coordinator for the ID program at Ai.
As Ai school closes its doors, I am working on the next phase of my career. One direction I am pursuing is event decor and planning (Adorn & Décor) - using my talents for spaces other than in the home. I have completed a wedding and just had a wonderful opportunity helping a client decorate for the holidays. As I move on I will continue to participate and volunteer within our industry. I will also continue teaching as adjunct at Ai Online and CCBC.

Words of advice: "Do what you love and love what you do!"
