Ridge Montebello Chardonnay 2013, Santa Cruz Mountains, CA, $81.99
"A true gem, the 2013 Chardonnay Monte Bello, which was barrel fermented and aged 17 months in mostly American oak, offers sensational notes of white peach, citrus blossom, mint, ginger and baking spices. It's a big, rich wine, yet it never puts a foot wrong, is impeccably balanced and stays fresh, pure and focused. Drink it anytime over the coming decade or more." 95pts WA, also 95pts V

Champalou Vouvray 2015, Loire Valley, France, $24.99
"Fresh and elegant, this wonderful expression of Chenin Blanc is dry but not austere - crisp enough for shellfish, but rich enough for poulry dishes. Apple, lime and peach fruits mingle with herbal and floral notes." DM

Domaine de la Pepiere Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie 2015, Loire, France, $16.99
"The nose-wrinkling piquancy of lime zest and fresh ginger is allied to intimations of the mineral notes that play a dominant role in this performance. A caressing feel is combined with admirable vivacity and refreshing primary citrus juiciness. Alkaline, stony and saline nuances serve for interest and saliva-inducement on a lingering finish." 89pts V

Illumination Sauvignon Blanc 2014, North Coast, CA, $47.99
"The beautiful wine, the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc Illumination, is actually a cross-county blend, with 62% coming from Napa and the rest from Sonoma. This wine is stunningly aromatic, with fragrant notes of orange blossom, caramelized grapefruit, mango and melon. It is medium-bodied but juicy, with a terrific texture and a long, authoritative, dry finish. Drink it over the next several years." 91pts WA

Chateau de Selle Cotes de Provence 2016, France, $59.99
"Pale in color, this ripe wine is beautifully balanced. It does have rich fruit, raspberries and wild strawberries. It also has a fine texture with plenty of acidity as well as a touch of pepper. The wine could age a further few months, so drink at the end of 2017." 92pts WE

Catena Malbec 2014, Mendoza, Argentina, $22.99
"Wonderful precision and balance. Fresh, intense cherry fruit on the nose, complemented by well-integrated oak notes. Delicious mocha tones mingle with the clean cherry fruit on the palate. Complex wine, with a great length of flavour." 90pts Decanter Magazine

Left Coast Pinot Noir "Cali's Cuvee" 2014, Willamette Valley, OR, $21.99
"A splendid example of affordable Oregon Pinot, this benefits from a great vintage for forward, fruit-driven wines. It has additional assets: balance, texture and length, all compact in a young wine still in its infancy. The sappy raspberry fruit and overall polish suggest giving it another couple of years of bottle age before opening.Editors' Choice" 91pts WE

Cloudline Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2015, Oregon, $21.99
"A real Oregon pinot with walnuts, plums and hints of chocolate. Medium and rounded tannins and a juicy finish. Delicious and lively. Drink and enjoy." 92pts JS

Cusumano Etna Rosso "Alta Mora" 2014, Sicily, Italy, Reg. $29.99, Sale $21.99
"Enticing scents of wild red berry, baking spice, aromatic herb and a balsamic note waft out of the glass. The elegant, juicy palate doles out succulent wild cherry, crushed raspberry, cinnamon and a note of white pepper while a mineral note backs up the finish. It's well balanced, with bright acidity and ultrafine tannins." 94pts WE, also 93pts JS

Felsina Chianti Classico "Berardenga" 2014, Tuscany, Italy, $32.99
""The 2014 Chianti Classico Berardenga is fabulous. Fresh, aromatic and salivating with acidity, the 2014 is a super-old school Chianti Classico from start to finish. The intense acidity might come as a shock to readers used to more contemporary, supple wines, but this is a terrific example of what Chianti Classico from Castelnuovo Berardenga is all about. Cherry pit, leather, smoke, grilled herbs, menthol and game add striking nuance throughout. The savory, earthy style that is typical of the estate's best wines comes through loud and clear. In 2014, Fèlsina did not bottle their top Riservas, all the best fruit went into the straight Chianti Classico. The 2014 is a wine to buy by the case and enjoy over the next 20 years. I won't be surprised if the 2014 develops into an even better wine than this note suggests." 90pts V, also 91pts JS, **note, we also have 2 bottles each remaining of the spectacular 2011 and 2013 (Wine Spectator Top 100) vintages at the same price!

Orin Swift "D66" Grenache 2013, Cotes Catalanes, France, reg. $47.99, Sale $37.99
"In the same mold as the 2012, the 2013 Cotes Catalanes Grenache D66 is being held for six months in bottle prior to release. Completely destemmed (as are all the wines here) and aged in 30% new barrels, it has elegant, lively notes of blackberry, cassis, plum, pepper and violets to go with a medium to full-bodied, balanced and yet still hedonistic feel on the palate. A slightly tweaked blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Carignan, this is a more civilized version of this cuvee that still won't disappoint with regard to depth, flavor or length. Drink it over the coming 5-7 years." 95pts WA, **note, we have a few bottles of the also awesome 2011 and 2012 vintages at this same deal!

Flowers Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2015, CA, Reg. $59.99 , Sale $47.99
"Flowers' 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is a lovely appellation level wine, and also one of the highlights in this range. Sweet red cherry, plum, dried flowers and tobacco all flesh out in the glass. Nuanced, soft, and open-knit, the 2015 Sonoma Coast Pinot is a gorgeous wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. This polished, impeccable Pinot is very nicely done." 93pts V

Port**********************************************************

Quevedo Vintage Port 2011, Douro, Portugal, $124.99
"A Big Three blend of Touriga Nacional (35%), Touriga Franca (20%) and Tinta Roriz (15%), with dollops of other familiar grapes in the region. Unoaked, it comes in at 106 grams per liter of residual sugar. Fresh and fragrant, with deep purple color, this is a charming Porto that has average concentration, well-controlled tannins on the finish and purity of fruit up front. Crisp, lively and refined, it is very much on the restrained side, but it is a bit different. It is not a Port that needs to be aged for 30 years-although it should hold reasonably well-but it is one that will be enticing relatively young. The unoaked Ports are a different experience, but quite a worthwhile one. While not dense and highly concentrated, it has that "fresh-squeezed juice" feel to it. It also supplies a firm backbone. It is easy to love for the purity of fruit, grip on the finish and nice focus. Although it is relatively approachable, don't misunderstand-it is also a young 2011 and it will tighten with aeration before finishing with welcome tension. It was a bit tight (and much more expressive) on Day 2, but it was Day 3 that sealed the deal here. This showed simply beautifully, with an increasingly firm backbone, but beautiful balance. A few years to calm down wouldn't hurt. Chill it down to the low 60sF." 92pts WA
