Joins the cast of
Long Day's Journey Into Night

New Opening Night: Thursday, February 4
 at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre
Broadway veteran Maureen Anderman has stepped into the role of Mary Tyrone in Palm Beach Dramaworks' upcoming production of Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night.

Opening night has been pushed back a week, to Thursday, February 4, with specially priced previews on February 2 and 3. The show closes on Sunday afternoon, March 6. Please note that all evening performances are at 7:30 pm and all matinees are at 1:00pm.

Anderman joins previously announced Dennis Creaghan (James Tyrone), John Leonard Thompson (James Jr.), Michael Stewart Allen (Edmund), and Carey Urban (Cathleen, a household servant). The production is directed by William Hayes, with Paul Stancato as assistant director. Scenic design is by K. April Soroko, costume design is by Brian O'Keefe, lighting design is by Donald Edmund Thomas, and sound design is by Matt Corey. Anderman replaces Joy Franz, who withdrew for personal reasons.

Maureen Anderman previously appeared at PBD in A Delicate Balance by Edward Albee. She has a long association with the playwright, beginning with the Broadway production of his Pulitzer Prize-winning Seascape and including The Lady from Dubuque and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Her 18 Broadway productions include Driving Miss Daisy, The Year of Magical Thinking, BenefactorsYou Can't Take It With YouThe Man Who Came To DinnerThe Last of Mrs. Lincoln, Hamlet,and Moonchildren. Off-Broadway, she has appeared in A.R. Gurney's Love & Money, Later Life, and Ancestral Voices; Kenneth Lonergan's The Waverly Gallery; and Peter Nichols' Passion Play. She spent the 2011-2012 season at the Old Vic and touring the world in the Bridge Project's Richard III, which starred Kevin Spacey and was directed by Sam Mendes. Her regional credits include The Year of Magical Thinking, Later Life, After-Play (Westport Country Playhouse); The Cocktail Hour, Becky Shaw, Third, Rabbit Hole, and The Sisters Rosensweig (Huntington Theatre Company); Doubt (Maltz Jupiter Theatre); Pygmalion (Williamstown Theatre Festival); A Moon for the Misbegotten (Hartford Stage); Betrayal (Long Wharf Theatre). She has been nominated for a Tony Award, and has been honored with a Theatre World Award, the Connecticut Critics Award, and the Westport Arts Award for her lifetime work in the theatre.
Palm Beach Dramaworks is a non-profit, professional theatre and is a member of the Theatre Communications Group, the South Florida Theatre League, Florida Professional Theatres Association, and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
 
The performance schedule for Long Day's Journey Into Night is as follows: Evening performances are Wednesday through Sunday at 7:30PM; matinee performances are on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 1PM. Wednesday matinees and Sunday evenings include a post-performance discussion. Individual tickets are $64, with specially priced preview tickets at $44 and Opening Night tickets at $79. Student tickets are available for $10; tickets for educators are half price with proper ID (other restrictions apply). Group rates for 20 or more and discounted season subscriptions are also available.
