ARIZONA APPARATUS CRASH UPDATE:
As you know, 31- year old Bureau of Indian Affairs FF Anthony Polk, was killed in the Line of Duty when the type 6 off road fire apparatus he was in rolled over while responding to the Montezuma fire. Polk was pronounced dead on scene and there were 2 other Firefighters, Andy Rosales, 29, and John Villicana, 25 who were transported to the hospital where they were treated and released. They say the weight of the water and the angle of the turn is what could have caused the vehicle to roll. An accident investigation is being conducted by the Tohono O' Odam Tribal Police Department and it's ongoing. They publicly claim speed was not a factor-we'll post more on that as the facts are released. FF Polk was part of a Bureau of Indian Affairs engine crew and lived in Yuma. A viewing for Polk will be held on Friday and he will be cremated on Saturday. FF Polk is survived by a 5 year-old daughter, his mother, grandmother, and numerous relatives and friends. RIP.
Take Care-BE CAREFUL.
