You will NOT want to miss this great training for middle & high school teachers!  This workshop is also open to high school students doing an inquiry-based research or engineering project this year!  

 

Using active learning/fun hands-on exercises to bring information to life, participants will review the basics of data analysis & statistics to include:  

          • Describing Data
          • Measures of Central Tendency
          • Standard Deviation
          • Graphing Data
          • Scatter Plots
          • Data Distribution
          • Frequency Distribution
          • Effect of Sample Size

 

Workshop being presented by Lisa Todd (Mathematics Teacher @ Taylor MS; Co-Founder of AfterMath Programs; Golden Apple Teacher Award Winner) and Cynthia Kaiser (Retired Sr. Engineer at Air Force Research Lab; COO of AfterMath Programs).

Please note that this workshop will be held on Saturday 11/23/13 from 9:00-11:30am at Taylor Middle School in Room 208.  

Plan to get there a few minutes early to get signed in!

Light snacks and bottled water will be provided. 

You must attend the entire workshop to receive a Certificate of Completion for the 8.0 hours of professional development.

PARKING INFORMATION - There is plenty of free parking in the Taylor MS parking lot!!
