2014 - A Year in Review

A Look Back and Looking Ahead to 2015

Let's pause to reflect on what we've accomplished together with the Shared Assessments Program in 2014. It has been a whirlwind of activity, amidst the industry's avalanche of regulations and a flood of high profile data breaches that have spotlighted third party risk. For Shared Assessments and our members, it's been a good and active year. Highlights include the rollout of our Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP) certification, our kick-off of the annual 2014 Vendor Risk Management Benchmark Study, the successful facilitation of financial services collaborative onsite assessments, and improvements to the next version of the Shared Assessments Program Tools, which release in January.

Looking ahead to 2015 and to address the ever-changing landscape, the Shared Assessments Program 2015 agenda will include broadening our efforts in collaborative onsite assessments, updating our tools to meet the needs of our members, welcoming newly certified CTPRP individuals, publishing the second annual Vendor Risk Management Benchmarking Study, hosting our eighth annual Shared Assessments Summit 2015, to be held April 29-30, 2015 in Baltimore, MD, and so much more. In 2015, top priorities are fostering board-level conversation and education in third party risk and keeping a watchful eye on risks associated with new technologies, new or updated standards, and regulations, so that we can stay ahead of the storm.

Good-bye 2014 and we look forward to best practices in third party risk management and assurance for 2015.
