"I have ALS, I'm in a wheelchair and I can't walk.  I just want to say how grateful I am and thank you so much for the rides.  They have made me independent and able to go to my Doctor and most importantly physical therapy, which keeps my muscles working.  I don't know what I'd do without you.  I would not be in the shape I'm in if I didn't have you people."

"As our population ages, we are determined to enable as many people as possible to maintain their independence,"

said Supervisor Dave Roberts, Chair of FACT's Board of Directors. "I'm just so proud we're able to make such progress and look forward to making more in the future."

RideFACT operates throughout San Diego County and is open to anyone 60 or older who has no other options.

Launched in 2012, RideFACT employs a brokerage that purchases rides from private or nonprofit transportation providers. The brokerage is able to secure rates that are well below those of private taxis.
