MTS and FACT Partner to Donate Retired MTS Vehicles

Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and FACT have partnered once again in an initiative to donate (7) seven retired MTS vehicles (small buses) to local non-profit transportation agencies. MTS, the owner of the small buses, and FACT are working together to find eligible recipients for these vehicles. The buses were formerly providing service for MTS Access, the ADA paratransit service for persons with disabilities.

All buses are 2007/2008 El Dorado National Type B large buses, gasoline powered, and run on the Ford E450 chassis. They seat up to 16 passengers and accommodate up to 4 passengers in wheelchairs.

The vehicles will be donated to nonprofit agencies that commit to providing the most trips for persons with disabilities in the MTS Access service area.
