THE Furniture Society at SOFA!
That's right, we recently visited the windy city.  And yes, it was windy, but SOFA was off the hook with more of a focus on design this year and some really great work to show off. We had a great time!
Congratulations to the Collectors of Wood Art and Emily Zilber on the antastic exhibition, Beyond Boundaries: Wood Art for the 21st Century. There were several Furniture Society member pieces in that exhibition, and they made us proud. Not to mention other galleries showing work by FS members Vivian Beer and Jim Rose.
Aside from all the eye candy, we got some serious work done as we hosted our board meeting at SOFA. We welcomed 4 new trustees to the board. An introduction to them is coming soon!
The Furniture Society is a nonprofit, educational organization founded in 1996. Its mission is to advance the art of furniture making by inspiring creativity, promoting excellence, and fostering an understanding of this art and its place in society.
