St. Patrick's Day Parade
fund drive benefits Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

Downtown Pittsburgh -
2015 Parade Route
Saturday, March 14th
9:00am-12:30pm

With winter's freeze hopefully behind us, the Food Bank will soon be faced with seasonal challenges; summer feeding for out of school children being one of many. To ensure no child goes hungry this summer it's time to call on a little luck o' the Irish at the annual
St. Patrick's Day Parade Funds Drive .

Every year, the Ancient Order of the Hibernians invites the Food Bank to collect Food and Funds at the Annual Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade. This Parade, 2nd largest in the country, draws over 100,000 spectators to Downtown Pittsburgh where we all become Irish for the day. This year the AOH has once again invited us to march in the parade. 50 Volunteers are needed to serve as the Food Bank 'force' and create our 'presence' within the parade. 4-6 volunteers will be on the outskirts of the parade route and will collect donations from parade watchers. Volunteers must be able to walk for the duration of the parade. This is a rain or shine event so please be prepared to be outside.

Interested marchers should email [email protected] with the subject line PARADE.

*Volunteers are assigned shifts on a first come, first served basis.  Your volunteer assignment is approved only once you have received a confirmation email detailing your shift.  Shifts will fill quickly, so you are encouraged to sign-up early.
Not able to volunteer, but want to still make an impact?
