Keynote Speakers
High Tech Keynote: Dr. Moira Gunn

Dr. Gunn is the host of NPR's Tech Nation. Throughout a decade of over 2,000 in-depth interviews, she has been able to speak with the technology leaders who drive innovation, as well as the everyday people who must keep pace with our increasingly high-tech world. A founding columnist on Knight-Rider's SiliconValley.com, Dr. Gunn examines every facet of our lives through the lens of technology. Her insights air nationally and internally in the weekly segment Five Minutes, and it is through this venue that continues to develop the popular "Tech Nation Facts of Life in the High Tech Age."

Dr. Gunn was the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, the largest engineering school in the United States. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Tech Museum of Innovation, the Advisory board of the Anita Borg Institute for Women & Technology, and The Tech Awards' Global Leadership Council. She has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco for over 20 years. She is the President and CEO of The Tech Nation Group, the chair of the Annual Tech Nation Summit held each year in San Francisco, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Tech Nation Quarterly.

High Touch Keynote: Doug Lipp

Doug is a distinguished international consultant, eight-time author, and former head of the legendary Disney University, the world's most beloved and respected employee training and development institution. His latest book is the best-selling Disney U: How Disney University Develops the World's Most Engaged, Loyal, and Customer-Centric Employees. His other popular titles include The Changing Face of Today's Customer: How to Attract and Retain a Diverse Customer and Employee Base and Even Monkeys Fall From Trees: The Art and Science of Outstanding Customer Service.

Drawing on over 30 years of combined experience at Disney and in private practice, Doug inspires and challenges hundreds of organizations worldwide. In presentations, he shares how Disney overcame spectacular strategic challenges to unleash one of the most improbable success stories in corporate history. Through examples and powerful, relevant stories about innovation, service, value and leadership, Doug pulls back the curtain and reveals the behaviors, tools and attitudes that are representative of cultural excellence at Disney and other great institutions. He has built a successful career and shaped an industry around the idea that culture is the preeminent factor driving success.
