2016 ALAN Workshop Essentials
The 2016 ALAN Workshop in Atlanta is just a few days away. Here's everything you need to know: when to get up for the breakfast on Saturday, where to find the Sunday evening reception, and what time workshop panels and other sessions begin and end.
  • Workshop sessions on Monday and Tuesday will be held in Rooms B312-B314.
  • We have sold out! And the room is 1/3 smaller than last year. Plan on arriving as early as possible to expedite check-in. Don't miss a single minute of A. S. King's keynote speech! We will have six check in lines and volunteers to help everyone get their book box AND accompanying book-filled tote bag to their seat. Check in will open at 7:15.
  • If you did not register for the workshop but would like to attend, you can complete this form and get on the waiting list.
  • Due to the smaller room size, signing lines and the exchange table will be located outside the main ballroom. We know this will be disappointing for many people, but we just don't have enough room inside. Attendees may want to think strategically about which books in their boxes are must-sign titles.
  • NCTE is mailing name badges and tickets for the ALAN Breakfast. Watch for those in your mailbox.
  • ALAN will have its own booth in the NCTE Exhibit Hall. Stop by booth #117 to catch our author signings and to meet friendly folks ready to tell you all about how great ALAN is.
  • Need help shipping books back home? Here's information for shipping from the Georgia World Congress Center.
