Order #2
The Popcorn System is now open to accept unit orders for Order #2. This order is an opportunity for units to:
  • Replenish their inventory if they have sold out or are low on certain products.
  • Place their first Show and Sell/Deliver order if they did not place Order #1.
  • Order chocolate products (first opportunity to do so).
If you're unsure what to order, please consult the Product Mix Guide.

STEP 1: Place Order

Please remember that your unit must place this order via the Popcorn System no later than Monday, September 12.

STEP 2: Choose Pick-Up Location

There will be several options for Order #2 pick-up to provide units with a date, time and location that is most convenient for them, especially considering that the 100th Anniversary Celebration for Musser Scout Reservation, Musser Madness, is taking place on September 23-25. Please review the list of dates and locations where you can choose to pick-up your Order #2.

After submitting your Order #2 in the popcorn system, please also visit this link to indicate the day, time and location that is most convenient for you to pick up your popcorn. It is very important that you let us know where you'd like to pick up Order #2.

Wawa Weekend: October 1 & 2
Wawa Site Schedule
Thanks to all the units that entered their first and second choices in the Wawa Lottery during the month of August. With very rare exceptions, all units are able to sell at either their first or second choice location on one of the two days available.

Please review the list (also posted at colbsa.org/popcorn) and find the location and day when your unit is scheduled to sell at a Wawa store.

We do have a selection of available stores and days available after the lottery results were scheduled, as seen in the empty spaces. Additional sites and days are available on a first-come, first-served basis by sending an email to [email protected]. We'll confirm with you if your additional requests are still available. Please also let us know if your volunteers and Scouts are not able to cover your scheduled location for any reason, and we'll make the space available to other units.

Wawa Weekend Guidelines
In a little more than three weeks, many of our units will have a great opportunity to sell at a selection of Wawa stores in our area. Wawa has graciously allowed Scouts this opportunity for many years at their available and approved locations, with site coordination through the local council.

Please review the additional safety rules and guidelines provided by Wawa, that must be followed when selling popcorn:
  • Solicitations must be at least ten (10) feet away from any door of the store as designated by General Manager
  • A maximum of four (4) people at any one time -- at least 1 adult if there are minors -- Minors must ALWAYS be accompanied by adults
  • Group uniforms/identification must be worn (BSA Field Uniform, "Class A," is preferred)
  • To protect solicitors, if there are no safety bollards, your vehicle must be parked in a space directly in front of your collection area excluding handicap or non-designated parking spaces, and remain there for the duration of the activity
  • Duration of activity must not exceed four day light hours, 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM
  • Solicitations may not be conducted in an aggressive or confrontational manner
  • Smoking is prohibited while soliciting customers
  • Porch area must not be blocked
  • No individual sales will be approved outside of the Council level arrangement
When members of your pack or troop arrive at your Wawa location, please set up as outlined above, and introduce yourself to the manager on duty to let him know that you are there. If any issues arise, please email [email protected].
Popcorn System Updates
As promised, Trail's End is continually updating the new Popcorn System. The most recent updates have enabled auto-confirmation emails to the contacts associated with each unit when 1) a unit order is placed 2) when a unit order is approved and 3) when inventory for a unit is adjusted, based on transfers between other units or the council. Additional features are expected to further assist you in managing your inventory and fundraiser.
Digital App
Trail's End is pleased to announce that the mobile take order form is available for download from the Apple , Android and Windows App Stores. This app will allow Scouts to take orders on a mobile device and accept payment in cash, check or credit card. Orders will be automatically uploaded to the Trail's End Popcorn System rolling into the units' orders.

These orders will be rolled into Order #3 (Take Order). The app also provides the option to mark an order as delivered (so it doesn't roll into Order #3), so it can be used for Show and Sells/Delivers. Be advised, however, that the app only accepts manual entry of credit card numbers. Therefore, it may not be the best option for high-volume show and sells. Instead, your unit can continue to use other credit card providers/readers as it has in the past.

Importantly, this app is not part of the online selling platform; therefore, product will still need to be delivered to the consumer. Online selling at trails-end.com will continue to be direct-to-consumer delivery.

Enabling the app requires that the unit be set up in the Trail's End Popcorn System. The council has given permission to all units for app orders and assigned delivery locations to the orders and for each unit on the app enabled orders. The unit will need to provide banking information.

Step-by-step instructions for using the app are provided in the video below.

Show & Sells at SEPTA Locations
Once again, the Cradle of Liberty Council has obtained a permit from SEPTA for Scouting units to sell popcorn at selection of stations, listed below, from Saturday, August 27 through Friday, October 21. The permit covers the following list of SEPTA locations; please note that not every SEPTA location has been approved due to space, safety concerns and station ownership.

Units can reserve a date to sell at any of these stations, on weekdays from 3 to 7 PM or on weekends from 11 AM to 4 PM. When selling at the station, a copy of the permit must be available. Scouts must be accompanied by appropriate adult supervision at all times, must not obstruct any foot traffic, and must obey any posted rules or direction by SEPTA authorities on the premises.

To make arrangements for your Scouts to sell at one of the stations below, please send your request with your unit number, requested station and requested date to [email protected]. You will receive a response with approval, if no other unit has reserved the space, as well as a copy of the permit for your unit to display.

Prize Vault "Fill-A-Sheet" Drawings
New for 2016! Scouts who fill an order sheet will have the opportunity to sumbit their order form(s) to be entered into two "Prize Vault" drawings, one at the mid-point of the fundraiser and one at the end.

For each drawing, 10 lucky Scouts will be randomly selected to attend a pizza party in their honor and choose a prize worth approximately $100!

Deadlines for entries: September 27 and November 5.
Prize Vault Pizza Parties will occur in October and December; availability of winners will help determine the exact dates of the parties.
