Newly elected - 2017-18  Board Members
Pamela Amato

Pamela Amato is an associate at MALLORY, LAPKA, SCOTT & SELIN, P.L.L.C. She received her Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude with a concentration in Taxation Law from Michigan State University College of Law and her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Biology and Mathematics from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Amato also has a Master's Degree in Finance and a Master's Degree in Project Management. Ms. Amato received the Jurisprudence Achievement Award for Small Business Enterprises and was a finalist for the George P. Doreghty Leadership Award.   Ms. Amato was appointed as an Emergency Financial Manager by Governor Granholm in 2008. Ms. Amato has also guest lectured at Michigan State University College of Law on ethics and balancing a law career.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Amato was a solo practitioner with her primary focus being domestic relations law and estate planning. At MALLORY, LAPKA, SCOTT & SELIN, Ms. Amato has expanding her areas of focus to also include landlord/tenant and property law. Ms. Amato is very involved in multiple charitable organizations, serves on the Capital Area Humane Society Capital Campaign committee and is a former Board member and volunteers in community based events.

Charles Barbieri (Incumbent)

Chuck received his B.A. from DePauw University in 1977 and his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law in 1980.  He has practiced over thirty-six years with Foster Swift Collins & Smith, P.C. in its Lansing office.  He specializes in environmental law, First Amendment and media law, general litigation and appellate work.  He has lectured and written on several environmental topics, including the most recent changes amending Michigan's solid waste laws related to beneficial reuse.  He has been past chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Michigan Bar Association after serving on its Council.  He is active in The American Inns of Court at Michigan State University and is currently serving as the Counselor of the Inn before assuming the position of President later this year.  He served as a past board member and former treasurer of the Ingham County Bar Association (ICBA).  He is currently finishing the first three year term of his second stint on the ICBA Board and is currently the Board secretary.  He has worked on the Bench-Bar and Membership committees during his current tenure on the Board.  He was the 2015 recipient of the Leo A. Farhat  Outstanding Lawyer Award given by the ICBA. 
Lindsay Dangl

Lindsay Dangl has been employed by Murphy & Spagnuolo, P.C. since January 2008. Ms. Dangl has experience with a variety of legal issues including family law, workers' compensation, insurance and indemnity law, municipal law, and civil litigation. Ms. Dangl received her undergraduate degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University and her Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude.  She also received a Certification in Child and Family Advocacy from the Michigan State College of Law Chance at Childhood Clinic.
 
Ms. Dangl is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Ingham County Bar Association.  In addition to being licensed to practice in Michigan state courts, Ms. Dangl is admitted to the Eastern and Western District Courts of Michigan and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Dangl has obtained the highest peer rating (AV Rating) by Martindale-Hubbell. According to Martindale-Hubbell®, AV Preeminent® is a testament to the fact that Ms. Dangl's peers rank her at the highest level of professional excellence.  Ms. Dangl was also recently designated a Super Lawyer Rising Star.
 
Ms. Dangl was formerly a Board Member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Mid-Michigan Region and the Ingham County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section. She is also an active volunteer and a member of the Junior League of Lansing.

Stephen H. Sinas

Stephen H. Sinas is a shareholder in the Lansing office of the Sinas Dramis Law Firm. He focuses his practice on Michigan's auto no-fault law and represents plaintiffs in motor vehicle, semi-truck, motorcycle and bicycle accident cases. 

He also handles cases involving constitutional rights violations. Stephen is an adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Law where he teaches a "Michigan Automobile No-Fault Insurance Law" course.

 He is on the board of the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council, is associate general counsel for the Coalition Protecting Auto No-Fault, is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice and its executive committee, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Character & Fitness Committee (District E). 

Jessica Zimbelman

Jessica Zimbelman is a 2002 graduate of Hope College and a 2008 graduate of Michigan State University College of Law. She has been an Assistant Defender with the State Appellate Defender Office (SADO) since 2012, representing indigent criminal defendants on their appeals.
 
Prior to SADO, she was the Senior Analyst in the Legislative Corrections Ombudsman's Office. She is an Adjunct Professor at MSU College of Law, instructing 1L and 2L students in appellate advocacy. Prior to law school, Jessica was a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives. Jessica is a member of the Representative Assembly of the State Bar of Michigan, representing Ingham County. She is the immediate past chair of the Prisons and Corrections Section of the State Bar.
 
Jessica has trained attorneys and judges through various groups, including the Michigan Judicial Institute, the Michigan District Judges Association, the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, and the Michigan Appellate Assigned Counsel System. She also hosts quarterly meetings of SADO's Family Outreach Night.
 
She is the primary author of the "Defender Guide for Attorneys: Policies and Procedures of the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC)", published by the Criminal Defense Resource Center.
