It's Cruising Time!
I CNC will be hosting its Annual Boat Cruise aboard the Anita Dee II!
If you're interested in an afternoon of relaxing and an opportunity to build great new relationships, the ICNC Boat Cruise is where you'll want to be. The cruise experience will include an open bar and refreshments.

- The City of Chicago's  minimum wage will increase to $12 an hour starting July 1st. The raise is part of the city's planned phase-in process from 2015 to 2019. See more details  here
Industrial Modernization Plan Community Meeting Recap
ICNC hosted the Department of Planning & Development  to  discuss Mayor Emanuel's Industrial Corridor Modernization Initiative with Kinzie Corridor neighborhood stakeholders.  DPD reaffirmed that it has no plans to  further eliminate the Planned Manufacturing District zoning in the Kinzie Industrial Corridor. - ICNC's Illinois SBDC International Trade Center congratulates its members for recognition from the State of Illinois during World Trade Month in May.  Metraflex and Upton's Naturals received Proclamations for their success in exporting from representatives from the state who visited their businesses to present the certificates. Chicago Comb, another client, was named New Exporter of the Year, and Vogel Tool & Die and Automated Design Corporation received awards for Continuous Excellence in Exporting at the State of Illinois 2018 Governor's Export Awards.

The 24th Annual Stay in School Picnic hosted by the Chicago Neighbors United & the 27th Ward Alderman's Office  is taking place at Union Park on Saturday, August 25th. There will be food, games, entertainment, immunizations (Parents must bring records), and more! More information to come.
