8:30 – 9:30 a.m.        Impacts of Green Infrastructure on Construction Projects
Presenters:
Scott Rowland, PE – Langan Engineering & Environmental Services
Katherine Camp – Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA)
This presentation will review the minimum stormwater permitting requirements in the region and outline the requirements to achieve LEED credits, National Green Building Standard Points and Living Building Challenge certification related to stormwater management. A representative from the PWSA will present on the initiatives the City has been pursuing to promote green infrastructure and reduce the loads on their systems.
 
9:40 – 10:40 a.m.      The Reality of our World, the Reality of Net Zero
Presenter: Shane Goodman, LEED AP – AE Works Ltd.
Key session takeaways will include:
•          Net Zero design and construction process and best practices for team coordination
•          Examples of technologies, systems and tips to incorporate into your projects
•          Understanding of cost and budgeting requirements for a Net Zero project

10:40 – 11:30 a.m.    Green Financing Presentations
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.   Lunch & Green Financing Panel Discussion
The Green Building Symposium will conclude with a panel discussion on project financing, moderated by Green Building Alliance Executive Director Aurora Sharrard. We will hear three brief presentations from our panelists and they will then engage in a discussion and Q&A with the audience over lunch.
 
Panel Presenters include:
Greg Firely, Senior Project Scientist – Langan Engineering & Environmental Services
Greg will discuss ways in which he helps projects leverage funding for brownfield redevelopment.
Matt Madia, Chief Strategy and Development Officer – Bridgeway Capital
Matt will discuss financing solutions for a variety of project types.
Elliott Oshry, Certified Fundraising Executive
Elliot will discuss methods for tying together different funding sources to complete large capital projects.
