Registration Tips and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:

  • All athletes must register as individuals.
  • Registration deadline is 4/15/2017.
  • There will be NO on-site registration or changes.
  • Check your emailed registration confirmations for accuracy NOW.
  • Confirm with your partners/teams that they are registered NOW.
  • Be aware of the VSG Weather Policy.
  • When scheduling your events, be aware of locations and times.
  • T-shirt sizes are unisex.
  • The size you indicate on your registration is the size that will be ordered for you; VSG cannot switch T-shirt sizes on-site.
  • You do not need to pickup your VSG packet, which will include our t-shirt before your event.
  • You may arrange for friends/teammates to pickup your packet on your behalf.
  • If you do not pickup your packet and would later like it mailed to you , shipping charges ($6) will apply.
  • If you do not already have one, consider setting up a free Facebook account, as VSG photos will be posted on the Virginia Senior Games Facebook page.
  • Should you need to add/change an event, clearly state your required changes and communicate this via email.  VSG staff will contact you when they are available to assist you.
  • Due to staffing limitations, if you wait until the last week to register, VSG can not assure that we will be able to assist you with your registration.

BASKETBALL- 3-on-3 TEAM
  • Seeking players for mens' 80+  (birth year 1937 or earlier).
  • 55-year-old female seeks 3-on-3 basketball team.
  • 64-year-old male seeks to join 3-on-3 basketball team.
BASKETBALL- 3-on-3 TEAMS for NSG in June 2017
  • Looking for 1 or 2 qualified players (age 75 - 79).
  • Mens 85+ competition seeks players who will be 85 by 12/31/2017, qualified in a 2016 state game, and would like to participate at Nationals.
BOWLING
  • Seeking both female and male partners for bowling in 70-74 and 90-94 age groups each.
PICKLEBALL
  • 85-year old male seeks partner for mens doubles; has worked as a part-time personal trainer for 18 years, 6'4", skill level 3-3.5, plays 3 times/week.
  • 81-year-old female seeks partner for womens doubles; skill level approximately 3-3.5. 
TABLE TENNIS
  • Seeking partner for mens doubles; 60-64 would be ideal but will play in age groups 55+.
TENNIS
  • Intermediate male tennis player in the 70-74 age group seeks Doubles and Mixed Doubles partners.
VOLLEYBALL
  • 67-year-old male from Va Beach is seeking a team to join for the Senior Games.
  • 54-year-young female seeks volleyball team - Libero/DS/Hitter.

SAVE THE DATES:  May 10-13, 2017

LOCATION:  Henrico, VA (2017-2020)

RULES:  Virginia Senior Games adheres to National Senior Games rules.
 
MAKE TIME TO PARTY:  all athletes will be specially recognized - 5-7pm, Friday, May 12, Deep Run Recreation Center - it's free and especially for you.

PARTY EARLY:  enjoy the Health and Wellness Expo, 3-7pm - also on  Friday, May 12, Deep Run Recreation Center - lots of freebies.

SHOW-OFF:  Wear your medals and bring your friends and family - spectators are FREE.

REMEMBER:  Team captains should submit one team registration for each team.  In addition, all players and non-playing coaches must submit an individual registration each to be included on team roster.

WHAT'S NEW?:
  • No more partnering:  visit the Athletes' Bulletin Board to post and find partners.
  • 2017 VSG is unable to offer Track and Field Hammer Throw.
  • Miniature Golf and Shuffleboard are back!
  • Registration deadline is Saturday, April 15, 2017.
