Raise your voice for mental health!
  • Advocacy Days: February 5 & 6
  • MHAV's Advocacy Training Program: February 12-14
Mental Health America of Virginia (MHAV), Voices for Virginia's Children, NAMI Virginia, and VOCAL are pleased to collaborate once again on Mental Health Advocacy Day.

This year,  we are hosting two Mental Health Advocacy Days one day will focus on the needs of children  and  the other will focus on the needs of adults .

Children's Mental Health Advocacy Day will be held on Monday, February 5, and Mental Health Advocacy Day will follow on February 6, 2018.

Both events will be held from 8am to 12pm at   701 E. Franklin St., B1 Conference Room, Richmond, VA 23219. Individuals may attend one or both days.

Both events will include refreshments, a brief orientation and review of our priorities, legislative meetings, and other advocacy opportunities, like visiting the House and Senate floors.

The goal of both advocacy days is to provide an opportunity for legislators to hear directly from their constituents about the importance of mental health services for children and adults. Advocacy day is a chance to ensure our voices are heard and that legislators know a strong mental health system matters to Virginians. Please join us!
