2018 HORSE & RIDER PARADE
The Gathering of Nations is presenting a new exhibition this year known as the Horse & Rider Regalia Parade. This age old tradition of honoring the Horse Nation was once practiced by the horse tribes across North America. Presently, it is diminishing and only a few tribes still carry on the horse & rider regalia tradition.  This year, the historic horse honoring tradition will be held in the State of New Mexico, which is the original site of the horses’ first appearance to Native peoples in North America.  The history, the honoring, and the beautiful display of horse & rider tradition regalia will be a sight to behold.

Miss Indian World is a role model to young and old and help to educate and demonstrate the beauty and diversity of Native American culture as well as represent the Gathering of Nations throughout her travels*. NOTICE: The age requirement has been adjusted for 2018 MIW to 18-25 years old (must be NO older than 25 yrs old at the time of crowning date 04/28/2018)
