Welcome to the SSPR Pulse, your beat on all things media and social media in the great big world of PR.
Treats from the C-Suite
The holiday season is upon us (when did that happen?) – but honestly, we're more excited about 2018. 2017 meant perfecting some awesome new services for our clients, and we can't wait to really hone these in the coming year.

2018 means integration . Tying all of your loose marketing and PR ends together into a comprehensive, awesome program that brings better ROI, happier customers and even more up-leveling in the new year.

Check out some of our biggest 2018 predictions below (and perhaps enjoy a festive cocktail or two while you read).

Traditional press releases are dying.
And with businesses becoming more digital, so are the ways we communicate a company’s success and initiatives. Videos, images and infographics will be relied on more heavily to relay company messaging, and we’ll begin to see supplemental copy lessen.
Fleeting, ephemeral content reigns.
2018 will see more growth and usage of Instagram Stories, Facebook Live and Snapchat. The role of social media will shift away from stale messaging to real-time, behind-the-scenes content on social platforms. Content that “disappears” is more exclusive and exciting to audiences who follow brands on mobile.
2018 is the year of the video.
Mobile media will represent 7 out of 10 digital media minutes in 2018. This means more and more people are watching videos on their phones – if your company isn’t prioritizing video creation, your content is falling behind . Your video content should be story-focused rather than product-promotional. This means creating stories and experiences your audience will be enraptured by, keeping their attention on your brand.
