WHEREAS
, principals make a significant difference for students and staff every day, impacting the effectiveness of teachers and the achievement of students; and
WHEREAS
, principals serve as educational leaders who motivate and inspire all members of the school staff and student body to engage in the learning process; and
WHEREAS
, principals are entrusted with the opportunity and the responsibility of guiding, directing, nurturing, mentoring, and imparting knowledge to our children while they are at school; and
WHEREAS
, principals work with teachers and staff to set academic standards and push students to excel; and
WHEREAS
, principals must work collaboratively with parents and the community-at-large to proactively prepare students to be self-reliant and productive citizens; and
WHEREAS
, it is the responsibility of the Commonwealth of Virginia to continue to support and recognize the efforts of school principals who are positively impacting students, who are the future of Virginia; and
WHEREAS
, Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week is an opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of Virginia school principals in promoting quality education for every child;
NOW, THEREFORE
