20K psi  vs. 40K psi Waterblasting

40K psi - Surface Preparation
So what's the difference in 20K psi waterblasting vs. 40K, other than 20,000 psi? There are many reasons one should be applied more so than the other. 


Water blasting capabilities are typically measured in psi (pounds per square inch) and t he applications are limitless. These applications span all industries and in an ever changing economy, can save a facility hundreds of thousands of dollars in overall maintenance costs.

20K psi waterblasting can  involve removing mineral deposits that can collect on clarifiers, pipes, tanks, and more.  And with the advancement of  2-D and 3-D automated spin heads over the past two decades, PSI can virtually eliminate confined space entry for tank cleaning. 

Ultra-high pressure (40K psi)  waterblasting may be beneficial to use when stripping layers of tar or paint from piping, boiler striping for ultrasonic (UT) inspection, concrete removal, hydro-demolition, refractory removal and surface  preparation   The dynamics of high-speed, pulsating water from ultra-high pressure hydroblasting produces incredible benefits for industrial cleaning and surface preparation applications. The energy generated by the 40K water jet ,exceeds the bonding energy of even the most adherent scales, coatings, or process contamination.

 
PSI Schedules  Waterblast Refresher Training for 2nd Quarter
On an annual basis, PSI operations personnel are required to receive refresher training for many of the industrial cleaning services we provide. With the most recent new hires added to our company workforce, and  safety as the primary consideration, the Flex Lance Safety Device,
designed to protect the operator from a flex lance exiting a
tube sheet during lancing operations, will be incorporated into our Hands-On safety training program.
The "Chicken Wing" as it is referred to in the field, can be utilized in many horizontal applications and its wide range of adjustment will accommodate different sizes of tube sheets.
