20th ANNUAL LUPUS LOOP  

An Event for the Record Books!

Wow, what an event! Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and snowy weather to join us for the 20th Annual Lupus Loop!

This year marked many "firsts" and "record-breaking" statistics!
  • 3363 pre-registered individuals
  • 309 teams created
  • first team to have over 100 pre-registered team members
  • first team to raise over $15,000 - necessitating the creation of the Diamond Level Circle of Friends
  • first year that 3 teams reached the Platinum Level ($10,000) Circle of Friends
  • and, of course, the first Loop to occur in immediate aftermath of a Nor'easter!

Throughout this week we will be tallying up all the donations turned in on Loop day, and posting them to the Lupus Loop campaign page: be sure to check back often to watch the meter move toward our goal! Help our progress by continuing to ask for donations to support the 20th Annual Lupus Loop!

If you did not pre-register, and could not make it on Loop Day, we are still taking "registrations" over the phone or through the mail! For the $25 event-day registration fee, we will count you as a virtual participant, and we will mail you your 20th Anniversary t-shirt.

For teams who could not make it on Loop Day. Please email Cate or call the Chapter office at 215-517-5070 to arrange for pick-up/ delivery of your t-shirts and team sign.

All Course Marker Signs that were not picked up on Loop Day have been brought back to the Chapter office. Please email Cate if you would like to arrange a time to pick-up your Course Marker Signs. If not, we will hold on to them to hopefully reuse next year.

Keep Fundraising! The Lupus Loop Campaign and donation site remains active even after the event!

Hopefully you took a lot of pictures on Loop Day! Send links to an online photo album to your friends, family, colleagues or classmates who have not donated to encourage them to make a donation to the Lupus Loop! Include a photo from Loop Day in the thank you notes or emails you send to your donors - show them what an impact their donation has made! If you have any photos to share with us, please consider posting to our Facebook page, or make arrangements with Cate to send a disc or email a link to the photos.

Fundraising Contest Results

Thank you for your incredible individual fundraising efforts during the contest from 10/21 - 10/29.

The competition was neck and neck between some of our amazing fundraising individuals!

1st Place Prize: Happy Hour for 20 at Public House
Winner: Stacey Fitch
Amount Fundraised: $2,982

2nd Place Prize: 6 Tickets to Helium Comedy Club
Winner: Dawn Rieder
Amount Fundraised: $2,160


3rd Place Prize: $50 Gift Certificate to City Tap House
Winner: Sarah Exler
Amount Fundraised: $2,110

Prizes will be mailed to winners by the end of the week.

Remember, the fundraising contests (including Team Challenge, Circle of Friends, and the 20th Anniversary Sweatshirt offer) will not close until November 30th - so keep fundraising!
