National Homeownership Month Update: 23 Households Assisted in One Day with Foreclosure Prevention Workshop
In celebration of Homeownership Month, CHI has hosted a number of events to help clients.
On June 7th, CHI hosted a foreclosure prevention and mortgage assistance event that served 23 households in one day, with clients walking away with loan modifications, savings of hundreds of dollars, approval for the MAP program or started the process to receive approval for a modification.
The event was held at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains for clients with a mortgage with Wells Fargo or Ocwen Financial Corporation.
CHI's Foreclosure Prevention Counselors provide free assistance to homeowners in Westchester County who may be at risk of losing their homes. Counselors analyze specific situations, design a mitigation action plan, review financial profiles to develop a realistic budget and help clients secure a loan modification or other remedy to remain in their homes.
