What an epic weekend for the 21
st annual 24-Hours of Rocky Hill! With fires in nearby Bastrop threatening the ranch earlier in the week we were happy the event could go on. Thanks as always to Pam & Grey Hill for graciously allowing us to use their fantastic ranch!
Thankfully winds kept the fire away!
Filip from our Title Sponsor,
Pickle Juice, was on-site to keep you going cramp-free throughout the entire 24-hours of racing. We were also happy to have Mike and the gang from
The Collective Brewing Project out for the weekend sampling their delicious brews. Grady from
Trail LED showcased his new 2016 lights and kept us going bright throughout the night. And a thanks to Kevin from
NiteRider for also being on-site to support with light rentals.
ZoeFitness bottles were being put to good use and thank you to our other sponsors;
Kuat,
Orange Mud,
Richardson BikeMart,
Cadence Cyclery,
Bluebonnet Bicycles,
Aggieland Cycling,
VeloGold and
RoadID for donating for the raffle giveaways! Hopefully you were able to enjoy some delicious food from Euro Pizza, we were happy they were able to be on-site the entire weekend to keep us fed.
With only one race-ending crash (sorry about your
frame Chris) it was overall a clean event for all that participated. We enjoyed perfect weather with beautiful, sunny skies and cool, crisp evenings. Hopefully you were able to check-out the late-night movies under the Saloon and also enjoyed the post-race BBQ feast!
I'm also happy to say that we were able to donate food to the Giddings fire department at the conclusion of our event. A special thanks to Sam of TX Sports Photography for dropping that off for us!
