Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Echo Company, located at 600 W. Chicago Avenue (27th Ward) celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 14, 2016.

Echo began in 2005 with one objective-to simplify transportation management.

Echo Global Logistics connects businesses that need to ship their products with carriers who transport goods quickly, securely and cost-effectively.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

On behalf of the The Illinois Medical District (IMD), & its board of Commissioners; Walter Burnett, Jr. (27th Ward Alderman) and others celebrated the groundbreaking of The IMD Gateway Development, located at 2020 W. Ogden Avenue.

- The Illinois Medical District Commission (IMDC) approved an agreement for a one million square foot real estate development that includes:

 225-room hotel

 Retail and dining establishments

 Medical and administrative offices

 Laboratory space serving the region's growing life science ecosystem

 Conference center

 High-rise rental housing units for students and young professionals

 Multi-family housing

 Parking structure

 Public plazas and green spaces
