Desert artists are invited to submit an original piece of art for possible inclusion in the group exhibition.Artists unable to make this time can request an alternate delivery time by calling (760) 367-3445.

Artwork must address the theme “Rock On!,” portraying the many ways rocks are significant to life in the desert. The theme can be expressed in painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, mosaics, ceramics, fabric art, assemblage, sculpture or other three-dimensional work.

THEATRE 29 ACCEPTING DIRECTOR’S SUBMISSIONS FOR 2019 SEASON

Theatre 29 is beginning the process of selecting plays, comedies, dramas and musicals for their 2019 season.
Area theatrical directors are being invited to submit suggested plays for consideration. The Theatre 29 Play Selection Committee strongly suggests Directors submit two titles to allow flexibility in forming a well-balanced season. Prospective Directors are also encouraged to present both a musical and non-musical title. Directors can request a particular time slot or slots but are not guaranteed their requested time frame will be available.

June's Lunch with the Mayor is going to be at Andrea's. Come by and meet your Mayor, voice your concerns, ideas, or just come say hello. Mayor Wright looks forward to seeing you all at this event. (Please note that each person is responsible for payment of their own meal) .
We would like to honor Stater Bros. for partnering with Operation Community Cares on June 2nd, to create amazing care packages for our soldiers!

With nearly 200 Stater Bros. "Family" members, and friends, they prepared 1,000 care packages! These packages were filled with items to remind our courageous service members that we're thinking of them, and how grateful we are for their dedicated service to our country!

Jupiter is quite bright in the southern sky in the constellation Libra. We will observe the great planet in detail. The brown and pink cloud formations and it's four moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto, are a spectacular sight in a telescope. Some sparkling globular clusters featured tonight will be the Great Cluster in Hercules, M4 in Scorpius an M5 in Serpens and Omega Centauri.

All public events at Sky's the Limit Observatory are free unless stated otherwise.

June 16th

The spectacular summer Milky Way will be rising the east shortly after sunset. The Milky Way at this time of year is an easy target for photographers. Come tour a fine selection of clusters and nebulae in Scorpius and Sagittarius including the Lagoon Nebula, Omega Nebula, Wild Duck Cluster and globular cluster M4. We will also observe two of the most impressive planets; Jupiter, and Saturn!

All public events at Sky's the Limit Observatory are free unless stated otherwise.

And we're ready to Rock. Come out on Friday Night and get your rock on with Tortoise Rock Casino. Have a drink, some food and listen to music under the beautiful Twentynine Palms sky. Nothing better!

Chamber Music is considered “Music for Friends” with a small number of musicians performing for a small number of friends. 

During this concert series, titled "Beyond Baroque," the Encelia Chamber Ensemble will be joined by several musician friends to perform pieces from classic and contemporary composers like Bach, Grieg, and John Rutter.

For the month of June, Gallery 62 in Joshua Tree is getting down to earth…with the adventurous exhibit THIS LAND. From impressionistic to meticulously detailed to abstract, the show presents distinctive and illuminating views of both our beautiful terrain and our boundless imaginations.

Join Z107.7 broadcasting live as we all cheer on the arriving 30 teams of high school students!

The Solar Car Challenge is an education program designed to help motivate students in Science, Engineering, and Alternative Energy. 
We teach high school students how to plan, design, engineer, build, race, and evaluate roadworthy solar cars.
