A Note From Your Second Grade Teachers
Second Grade Connections
December 8th, 2016
Dear Second  Grade Families,

As we enter the Winter Season we have been reflecting on why our families are important to us. The students are sharing during class and we look forward to hearing what they've learned about their family heritage in the upcoming days.

We invite you or a family member to visit our classrooms and share a family tradition or family memory with us. Thank you to Michelle Horner for teaching us about Hanukkah by sharing traditional potato latkas and the dreidel game with our students. Please contact your teacher if you would like to schedule a time to visit.

The students are showing great interest in learning about their brains and how they work to help us learn. We are looking forward to a festive and fun filled week, and hope that you have a wonderful winter break connecting with loved ones.

What We Have Been Learning
Ask Your Child...

  • Why is your family important to you?
  • Can you tell me one cool thing about your brain?
  • What's a Fact Family and how can learning them help you solve math problems?
Thank You
  • Thanks to all of you who have already donated to our Annual Fund! Your donation bridges the gap between tuition and the true amount needed to fund our programs. Second Grade's parent participation stands at 96%. If you haven’t already taken the opportunity to contribute, please click here to make your gift today. We greatly appreciate it!

  • Thanks to all of you who participated in the Adopt-A-Family program! You have made the holidays special for a local family in need.
