"God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so everyone who believes in him might have eternal life." JN 3:16
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Families,

Today is the last day of Quarter 3, which means that we will be printing report cards and volunteer hour sheets and mailing these later in the week. If you do not receive your student’s report card by the end of next week, please let us know so that we can check the mailing address that we have one file.

Additionally, with one quarter left, we have just over a third of our families who have accumulated ten volunteer hours for the year, but many, many more are within just an hour or two of meeting this requirement. Please know that there are still several opportunities by which families may meet their goal of ten service hours. Remember that we are always looking for volunteers to help with recess duty and our annual Field Day, which will be held in late May. Additionally, we can use some volunteers to help with our Spring Book Fair, which will be held later this month, our Someone Special Dance and Color Run in April, and our Mother’s Day Breakfast in May. All of these activities do require volunteers to be Safe and Sacred trained, so if you are interested in helping with any of these events, please complete your Safe and Sacred training now so that you are ready to help when these events come around. For those who are not Safe and Sacred trained, we do offer some other opportunities to acquire service hours by attending our last three PTA meetings and to help with our Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in May by making a dish.

Next week our third grade students will be taking the state required IREAD exam. Students will take the practice test on Monday and then complete the three portions of the IREAD exam in the morning on Tuesday and Wednesday. (Make-ups for any student who is absent Tuesday or Wednesday will be made up the next day.) Once again, please make sure that your student gets plenty of rest and has had something to eat in the morning. Please note, that in the state of Indiana, students must pass this exam in order to move on to fourth grade next year.

God Bless,
Mrs. Ramos
