Want to make health and fitness a part of your lifestyle but don't know where to get started?  You've been motivated, joined a gym, had the buff gym attendee walk you around, show you a couple machines and how to work a very technical/computerized treadmill just to end up alone and unmotivated. Perhaps you tried another method for weight loss:  the rice diet, a liquid fast, or some miraculous celebrity diet. There's no magical pill that's going to cut your weight and give you that body you've always envisioned.  While watching tv or surfing the web, you'll come across a number of diet or workout fads but most aren't backed by any scientific evidence.  Let's face it, if  fad diets and pills  truly worked, the diet industry would put itself out of business. Don't waste any more time putting your faith in these phony products and programs.  The only reliable way to get the results you want is sticking to a balanced eating plan combined with exercise focused resistance training and cardio that hits your target heart rate to burn stored fat. 

 

What makes me different from any of the other personal trainers out there?  I strive to make each personal training program UNIQUE based on my client's goals and current level of fitness/eating.  Many trainers pursue just a "cookie-cutter" certification and never step out of their comfort zone for new workshops and training because it isn't relevant to their own fitness goals.  I recognized early on the unique differences all of my clients have and the need to incorporate different techniques such as battling ropes,TRX, or kettlebells to achieve the many different goals or expectations. 


 

Here is some back ground information about me.  

I have been a certified personal trainer through Nesta for 7 years with continuous education in hardstyle body-weight strength training conditioning and more.  To better myself as a trainer, I have explored a number of well-established fitness philosophies and pursued certifications through what I found to be the most beneficial and effective for my clients and members at my studio, Ultimate Kickboxing & Fitness.  In 2007, I began utilizing kettlebells at the studio and after training using the RKC method I pursued my Russian Kettlebell Certification 2009.  I pursued double kettlebell training after my recertification in 2011 and in 2012, I became certified in Battling Ropes,  Food Psychology through Nesta Certification, and Functional Movement Screening (FMS), and even hosted and assisted in a Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification (HKC) workshop instructed by Senior RKC Franz Snideman at my studio.  Since then I've also completed my TRX certification and barbell lifting course.

In my quest for new and unique training methods and techniques, I'm proud to say that I've had the opportunity to train with some of the best people in their business.

Here's what's included in my personal training program:

 

Prior to your first assessments, you will be given a packet with some questionnaires to complete including a 7 day assessment of your current eating habits. 

 

Our first meeting will consist of:

 

1. Assessments:

  • Body Fat Analysis, Weight, and Girth Measurements  
  • Balance & Flexibility Assessments   
  • Muscular Strength and Muscular Endurance Assessments  
  • Aerobic Capacity 
  • Static and Dynamic Postural Assessments
2. We will review your exercise history and current goals to create a weekly schedule that incorporates two, 1 hour sessions, with me and additional cardio workouts at the studio.

 

NUTRITION IS 80% OF ANY HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. Therefore, we will discuss specifics of daily food choices and planning menus. I will provide you with an eating plan that includes an appropriate calorie intake based on percentages of fats, carbohydrates and protein.  In addition, you will be added to the My Net Diary community where you will have additional dietary support and feedback. 
  
To help support your fitness goals, you will get 3 months of unlimited classes at Ultimate Kickboxing, including 12oz. boxing gloves and wraps, as part of your personal training package--no extra cost to you. This is a $324 value!

Before taking over Ultimate Kickboxing & Fitness in 2006, the studio mainly catered to Cardio Kickboxing Enthusiasts. Since then I have developed these classes and added them to our schedule.

The Core Interval Class evolved and grew naturally from the well thought out design of two of my instructor trainers Tom and Ian.  After this high intensity, strength and cardio class was presented to me, I immediately added it to our schedule.   I am always open to new ideas and suggestions.  My staff and I strive to assist all clients and members in reaching and exceeding their personal health and fitness goals though continued growth and development of our classes and equipment.
