Dear Friends,

Thank you for joining us on Tuesday evening.  The event was a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in support of Israel's brave soldiers and to learn more about Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).  We would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara and Alan Phillips, who graciously hosted us in their beautiful home. Y'shar Koach to you!

We hope you were inspired by your conversations with wounded IDF veterans, Lieutenant David Peretz, Platoon Sergent Itamar Gat, Staff Sergeant Vladimir Tokarev, and Colonel Itzik Gabai who selflessly gave themselves to the land of Israel.  Each shared their harrowing experiences as combat soldiers, offered us a glimpse into life after the injury, and expressed great appreciation for the support of the diaspora community.

As David said, "If it were not for the FIDF Strides program and the generosity of people like you, I would not have been able to live a full life, participate and complete the Tel Aviv marathon".

At most difficult times like these, your support of Israel and the soldiers of the IDF is powerful.  May G-d give them the strength to do their holy job of protecting the land of Israel, because we only have one Jewish land. Am Israel Chai!

Sincerely,

Richard Goldstein, Anat Chavkin and Marin Schloss
