 This weekend is a good one folks, we will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary on Saturday, June 23rd with drinks, snacks, karaoke singing and a little 10% off sale. Armed with a selection of the finest from the 70s, 80s and some 90s, Athena Miller will MC the karaoke kick assness so you can all sing us the soundtrack to the fashions you love to wear. To assist in your confidence in crooning, liquid courage will be provided in the form of some tasty cocktails mixed by local favorite Mindi Marcus of Dogwood. Light snacks will also be available to balance your buzz and to sweeten the deal just a little bit, everything in the store will be on sale. You certainly want to join us for this, as the ladies of MERCY are on the hook to sing you a song, and this may be your only opportunity to hear it. Except for Jenny, you'll probably catch her, or already have, getting all scatadelic with the store tunes once in awhile. But, in all seriousness, this is a party made by you, for you, and because of you, so we truly hope to see you there. It's with immense gratitude that we celebrate this milestone, and it means nothing without you.
As a lead in to the big event, we will also be participating in the monthly Piedmont Avenue Art Walk this Thursday the 21st when we welcome the culinary creations of Skillet Rose to the Avenue. She will be serving up her "Hummingbird Cake" at our store from 6-7 pm. You can also sample Skillet Rose delectables at Arjan & Philippa Roberts that same night.
Lastly, as mentioned before, Wayfarer General will be setting up pop up shop on a regular basis in the store, and Casandra's next installment takes place at the end of the month on June 30th and July 1st. This time around the focus shifts to the summertime, entertaining and Americana for the 4th. You will find and love the household goods she will be bringing; there's tablewares for entertaining, picnic sets and vintage blankets, aprons and linens, bakeware, tiki mugs, brightly colored, festive, fun decor and more. There will also be some travel themed items, as well as some fantastic wedding season gifts. And what's really awesome, Wayfarer General will once again a portion of her proceeds to Meals on Wheels.
