Mcdowell Mountain Regional Park is the venue for the launch of Powerman North America's first event in the 2015 series. Taking us back to where it all started in 1997 where we hosted our first ever 12 events, before 3 Disciplines we held a 6 race duathlon series and 6 race trail run series to raise funds for the Fountain hills high school cross country and track teams where Annmarie and Kenny were the coaching.
1. Venue - truly beautiful desert park 3 miles north of Fountain Hills, Arizona. Situated between two mountain ranges and the entire event held inside the park.
2. Run Courses - will be a groomed trail rolling through the desert past various species of cactus.
3. Bike Course - will take you up to the camp ground down to the other side of the park, and return. It will be a gradual grinder up, fast down, gradual grinder up, and fast back to transition.
4. Weather - could be a tad chilly for the first run but will typically heat up for the bike and last run. Sunny is the norm as always in Arizona.
5. Special event - Powerman Off Road division on the nationally acclaimed competitive track.
6. Bottom line - this will be your first opportunity to qualify for the National Championship in December to qualify for the World Championship in Zofingen Switzerland, plus cmon, it is Arizona in February! See ya there.
